Japanese antique
wooden carved doll of a Nobleman or high rank
samurai dressed with hunting outfit with tachi
sword attached to his belt and jingasa hat
on his head.
The man holds a hunting falcon on his one hand and silk
rope attached to falcon's leg in his other hand. His silk
haori jacket hand painted
with pine treed and cherry blossom motif and with traditional
design. His inky-violet kimono is tucked into
bakama pants with cherry blossom motif and
dark-red lacquered round hat which is a symbol of high
social status covers his head. His feet are shod in braided sandals - waraji. And a Nobleman has quiver
full of arrows on his back.
Highly collectible item of Japanese art!
Dimensions: 30,0 cm / 11,9 inches high
Condition: The doll is in very good condition according
to it age with some shabby and little tear and wear clothes.
However doll has real antique taste of genuine art.
